Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Property Accounting with the monthly closing process and complete necessary journal entries
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations and lead financial statement preparation for all properties
- Support compliance and investor reporting, including debt and REO schedules
- Process tenant payments and handle monthly bank reconciliations
- Collaborate with Property Managers to prepare and review budgets and manage cash flow
- Assist with property audits, tax return requests, and ad hoc projects to drive strategic decision-making
- Provide leadership and support to inspire exceptional team performance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with property accounting or commercial real estate experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with Yardi Software Systems (or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- CPA certification is a plus
