Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Monroe, Ohio
Job Type: Permanent
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at our Monroe, Ohio location. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leading various financial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Conduct financial audits and implement controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
- Expertise in tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
