Your Impact in This Role
- Execute strategic sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and categories
- Forecast and report economic savings performance
- Negotiate prices and drive long-term agreements with suppliers
- Analyze reports to identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities
- Manage supplier relationships, addressing nonconformance and capacity constraints
- Develop market intelligence to mitigate supply and cost risks
- Collaborate with product management on new product launch initiatives
- Present category management strategies to the department and senior leadership
What You Bring to The Table
- Sourcing experience, particularly in machine parts, motor parts, or similar industries
- Associate's degree with relevant experience (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required)
- Self-directed work ethic and ability to explore creative solutions independently
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience in strategic procurement and commodity/category management (preferred)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Relationship management and negotiation skills are a plus
