- Manage the preparation and review process of complex tax returns efficiently.
- Conduct technical reviews of complex tax returns and financial statements.
- Perform effective research and problem-solving on tax issues.
- Handle client matters, collaborating with the accounting department and decision makers.
- Develop and participate in departmental training, methodology, and tools.
- Mentor staff, promoting a challenging and encouraging learning environment.
- Communicate expectations and performance feedback regularly with team members.
- Identify and adhere to budget and deadline considerations.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Certification: CPA designation.
- Experience: 5-7+ years in public accounting at a supervisor/manager level.
- Skills:
- Tech-savvy with experience transitioning software (CCH Pro to Axcess).
- Strong relationship management with clients.
- Knowledgeable in individual, partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp returns, research, and general business planning.
- Understanding of accounting issues and financial statement preparation.
