Responsibilities include:
  • Demonstrating the ability to manage the preparation and review process of complex tax returns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Utilizing effective research and problem-solving skills to address complex tax-related issues.
  • Performing technical review of complex tax returns and conducting in-depth research.
  • Conducting technical reviews of complex financial statements and participating in special projects.
  • Collaborating with the accounting department and decision-makers to handle client matters effectively.
  • Assisting and actively participating in the development of departmental training, methodology, and tools.
  • Mentoring and supporting staff members, fostering a learning environment that encourages growth and challenges.
  • Communicating regularly with team members to set expectations and provide performance feedback.
  • Identifying and developing budget and deadline considerations, striving for adherence.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA designation.
  • 5-7 or more years of experience in public accounting at the supervisor/manager level.
  • Proficiency in using technology, specifically making the switch from CCH Pro to Axcess.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop staff.
  • Strong relationship management skills with clients.
  • Experience working with a variety of industries and comprehensive knowledge of federal tax laws.
  • Understanding of individual, partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp returns, research, and general business planning.
  • Familiarity with accounting issues and financial statement preparation.
