Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical reviews and approvals of various tax returns.
- Perform and oversee technical tax research and complex issue resolution.
- Manage the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring adherence to critical deadlines.
- Train, mentor, and manage staff while providing constructive feedback.
- Actively participate in client meetings, offering strategic tax planning and consulting.
- Collaborate with decision-makers to address and resolve client concerns.
- Engage in proactive client relationship management, extending beyond standard compliance work.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with strong academic performance.
- Experience: 5+ years of tax experience; CPA certification or active pursuit is highly preferred.
- Industry Experience: Experience in auto dealerships, insurance, not-for-profits, or employee benefit plans is a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities; advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, GAAP, and GAAS.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with paperless public accounting software such as ProSystem, Engagement, or QuickBooks.
