Job Title: Tax Manager
Location: Covington, Kentucky
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Covington, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related functions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and providing strategic tax planning and advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filing deadlines.
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax-related issues.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and assess impacts.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or tax management.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
