Job Description


Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing

trak group is partnering with a growing food manufacturing facility to hire a Maintenance Technician for a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional with solid troubleshooting skills, a strong electrical background, and the motivation to work on a small, tight-knit team where visibility and accountability matter.

What You’ll Do:
  • Maintain and repair production equipment including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshoot issues back to the PLC (no programming required)
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and support plant-wide reliability efforts
  • Assist with installations and upgrades as needed
  • Weld, fabricate, and support minor construction or repair tasks
  • Follow all GMP, safety, and environmental protocols
  • Keep workspace clean, organized, and inspection-ready
  • Wear appropriate PPE and work safely in varying environments
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience (food industry not required)
  • Solid experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, PLCs, and VFDs
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Welding experience and a strong mechanical skill set
  • Comfortable working independently and responding to unexpected issues
  • Strong attendance record and a proactive, reliable work ethic
  • Must bring your own tools (secured storage provided)
  • Valid driver’s license required
Schedule:
  • Shift: 1st shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts on a 4-on, 3-off rotation, including some weekends
  • Training: First week on standard day shift
