Truck/Mobile Equipment Mechanic
Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | First Shift
Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Cincinnati, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul truck, trailer, and mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including cranes, bulldozers, graders, conveyors, and forklifts
Perform all assigned work in a safe, well‑managed manner, ensuring work areas remain clean and orderly
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
Diagnose malfunctions and test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications
Read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and tools
Schedule and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner
Keep DOT inspections current on all trucks and trailers
Maintain accurate vehicle service, inspection, and repair records
Communicate regularly with management regarding work progress
Operate equipment safely and report accidents or injuries immediately
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
High school diploma required
Associate degree in Industrial Mechanics preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience
3+ years of truck or mobile equipment mechanic experience
Knowledge of DEF systems preferred
Class A license is a plus
Ability to read and understand technical documentation
Ability to work safely and cooperatively with others
Physical endurance to meet job demands, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
