Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for the strategy to build and manage our asset fleet and operations including, but not limited to customer, drivers, and office employees
- Relationships with local and regional consolidation centers, suppliers, and partner carriers
- Ability to proactively identify and communicate issues while also implementing solutions for continuous improvement as they pertain to processes, service, cost, and profitability
- Responsible for building a culture based on safety, continuous improvement and employee engagement
- Delegate day-to-day responsibilities to leadership team while developing their abilities to problem solve & overcome obstacles
- Establish compliance of all programs with state and federal regulations, including those imposed by the Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Define, measure, and improve appropriate service level (KPIs)
- Collaborating with other managers and staff to formulate and implement procedures, goals, and objective.
- Business-related undergraduate degree and 10+ years' experience in significant level management positions
- Strong leadership style which moves people to take action
- Driven, passionate leader capable of carrying the company's vision to a broad range of audiences
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills.
- Lead and develop a team to enhance performance by setting clear accountable performance measures
- Ability to make effective presentations to groups of management and the Board of Directors
- Effective negotiation skills, articulate, strategic thinker, innovative, and open to new ideas
- Ability to develop tactical and strategic plans and successfully implement
